My mowing experiences taught me a valuable life lesson. It’s no use having faith in something that’s unfaithful. No matter how much genuine confidence you might be able to muster in your emotions it counts for nothing unless the thing you put your faith in is actually faithful. Trusting the untrustworthy will only bring disappointment, misery, and frustration. It’s true about lawnmowers, it’s true about people and it’s true about God. Despite all it’s dense theology the message of Romans is simple and reassuring; have faith in god because he is faithful.
