It’s often said that we need to take care not to confuse the ‘descriptive’ with the ‘prescriptive’ in Acts. That may be helpful, but it’s a distinction that can be difficult to explain, and difficult to apply. I found that a better approach was to work at discerning the difference between the ordinary, and the extraordinary.
